After 10km you get out into a willowy meadow (with lots of bear sign), and get this view back down the valley. The meadow lasts 1km and then you turn off towards the lake.

After getting home so late from my paddling trip I didn't have much time to plan. So I chose a trail run I'd been thinking about for a while. This is because Norquay has a proposal to close the road and put in a gondola instead. It's been refused by Parks Canada, but who knows when it will be resurrected. This lake is the last thing back here I wanted to do. It's was a lovely trail run and worth the single day. Since you can't camp at the lake it would make a poor backpack. It's a one hit wonder so not worth two days.
