Close up of the Flatiron (the prominent prow that isn't really a summit) and the entrance to Siphon Draw from the Lost Dutchman State Park Campground. Taken the afternoon before we ascended.
This was hike three of eight of my third southern road trip. This time I went to Arizona. This hike is east of Phoenix.
This is a super popular hike, but for good reason. After seeing some pictures of the scrambling I was sold. It turned out even better than I thought. It was just a long easy continuous scramble. Not too much plain hiking, and no "bushwacking" (which in the desert is cactus dodging).
