Starting up the peak after the approach.

First peak of the year! A difficult snowshoe up steep, non-grippy faceted snow, involving a fair amount of bushwacking. That finally ended in a warm summit plateau with amazing views on a bluebird day! Still kinda left me never wanting to snowshoe again, but that will pass in another... oh 16 hours or so. :)
