After dropping out of a trip to the Bow Hut to summit another peak on the Wapta due to the high avalanche danger, I was completely lacking in motivation. I had a better idea for Saturday but couldn't bring myself to start the long drive to attempt it. I ended up doing a very short hike instead. When that didn't satisfy the bug (obviously), I thought up a slightly more popular but equally pointless hike in the trees for Sunday. At least I had company on this one.
Mount McNab is another one of those treed foothills in the Sheep, that strangely has the word Mountain in its name. It is easier to do in the winter when you get to cross the Sheep River when it is completely frozen over.
