Since it had freshly snowed, it was time to tick off a classic cross country I'd been avoiding in the previous conditions because of all the downhill.

I took a "completion-ists" route up over Skogan Loop, to Skogan Pass, over to Hummingbird Plume and back through the flats. Made sure my loop hit every possible trail and therefore was a bit more elevation gain than a straight up and down one.

Cold day but I got fresh tracks. Didn't see anyone until I got way back to the Skogan/Plume junction.

This actually felt harder than it should have, probably because my skis do not have any glide wax on them. Grateful to have super safe, nice fresh snow conditions, as well as the fresh grooming. Downhill was very easy in these conditions.
