I'd wanted to do Bow Peak for a long time. Its an easy scenic ascent. After Heath and I got back from the Koots (too hot to continue camping), I needed something super scenic to hike over the long weekend. This fit the bill. As well, until 8pm at night I was almost going solo and Bow Peak has always been on my solo list. Thankfully I didn't have to do it that way.
