Starting up the avalanche gully after bushwacking up to the the old road.

This was not the original plan or even one of the later options that got thrown around. However when my other two trip partners backed out it was the best I could come up with on short notice. I wanted a scramble to take Heath on.

I know it can technically be done as a ski, and usually I am a full supporter of ski what you can winter is too long. However this peak requires not just good avalanche conditions but travel along the upper cornice. Having good conditions for both of those and a partner or two sounded like too much work. So hiking it seemed less of a waste. The views were amazing so I was very happy I did scramble it.
