On the 26th (Saturday) I headed out early to Moraine Lake to see if I could ascend the Tower of Babel. I wanted a short easy solo scramble and this fit. Before I left I was worried about the overnight freeze and possible frost though. I was right to be worried. As soon as I stepped off trail the lichen covered quartzite rocks were impossible to walk on. So I resigned myself to being a tourist and took photos of the lake. This is early in the morning before the sun fully comes out and its still cloudy.
