Snowshoeing in old tracks towards the ridge from the west side.
The weather on the this weekend was finally forecasted to be beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky and finally warm. The only problem was the avalanche danger was going up. After way too much messaging back and forth I ended up on something Matt and I had been planning on doing eventually for a while: Crowsnest Ridge. While we were mildly disappointed by the views/weather (it was semi-cloudy over the divide, and the summit is blocked by all the man-made structures on it), it was still a fantastic day out. It was so nice to never once really feel the need to put on a jacket, and it was great to finally have another clear day.
