From the top of Boulder Pass Fossil Mountain is very prominent.

I firmly believe that anything that can be ascended in the winter, rather than the summer should (when its safe). Winter and shoulder season is long. Summer is short.

Therefore I've always wanted to ascend Fossil in the winter. I found out that the mountain had its windswept strip all the way from the base to the summit, so I decided to take a day off.

So happy to get my first "A" list mountain of the year!!
