After 2.5hours of pushing my bike (very rarely riding it) uphill I neared the end of the approach road. It took me 2.75h total for the road.

This trip to Jasper may seem very strange considering the distance and the smoke. However all I really wanted out of this weekend was to scramble on quartzite, so it was all worth it for me! The ridge was so much fun I barely worried about the incoming rain. Awesome scramble. Fast descent on the bike. Great day despite the smoke and the rain!
