Looking back at the route we took down, though you cannot see it well at all in the snow.
After that we got to the top of the waterfall I remember very well from the summer trail just above the lake. The winter route went into the trees to skiers right and sort of steeply down to the lake. A lot of side-slipping instead of skiing. But not to stressful this time as it was open and not just above a creek to fall into.
Then followed the ski across the lake (skins back on) and up the summer trail to its high point where we took the skins off again and had a final break. I was getting really hunger (read hangry) by that point, and forced a longer break to eat a giant bar even though we were close to the end. That made the final luge / side-slipping ride out down the traversing trail to the lodge more bearable. I managed it in what I thought was decent time, despite some thin spots and holes around creeks on the route down.
