Hiking along the rolly terrain of the trail caused by the snowmobiles. Heath calls this waffle board but when I look that up it doesn't seem to be a common term.

We started super early because day time heating was going to be a huge factor in the avalanche conditions and we weren't sure what the snow would be like on the ridge. Took snowshoes and full avy gear. We didnt' need the snowshoes and just wore microspikes the whole day.
