Looking back at the Monarch as I ski across Sunshine Meadows towards its southeast end.

Worked a Sunday, so got a Wednesday off. Used it to go on my first (solo) ski tour of the season! On a bluebird day that was a bit warmer than I expected (but I had pretty low expectations).

I skied up a little hill / peak in Sunshine Meadows I noticed from Quartz Hill last year. I thought it didn't have a name, but afterwards found out Sonny named it last year.
