Bear prints! It was probably just a little black bear. It had obviously been walking down the trail the other way than us, so we'd already passed it and I wasn't concerned.

We had to go down south on this day to visit. So it was time for the "annual" early spring attempt at Mount Burke. This time we finally made it despite a few centimeters of fresh snow. I say annual because I've attempted this peak a few times but never made it as I usually attempt it in the worst conditions...

I really like the re-route trail. It keeps you out of the mess of the creek and shaves off a lot of distance. I know its mostly a straight line so can be a bit tedious, but I don't plan on coming back.
