Western Larch on the drive up Olney Crossover Road towards the trailhead.

This hike was the first of three on my road trip to northeastern Montana. Things didn't start off so well, at this point I'd only had 4 hours of sleep. However from this point on everything went much better. A note that the road is not signed as Olney Crossover. It doesn't have a sign at all. You can find it across from the access road to the small community of Olney.

Nasukoin is the highest point in the Glacier View Ranger district.
