Hiking up the old road (past the washout) to the trail head.

I've wanted to go to Silent Pass and ascend Josee's route up Silent Mountain for a few years. Turns out it was a really great choice! Far more scenic than some of the photos make it out to be. I decided we should backpack to fully enjoy this area. Though of course you can do the mountain as a day trip.
