Camping at a free BC Rec Site the night before on Kootenay Lake.

I picked this mountain because the book said it was prominent and well known. But mostly because of the name. It is the most interesting peak viewed from the western shore of Kootenay Lake. Best viewed from just south of Kaslo.

We were extremely lucky to do this hike on the most amazingly clear day of our whole trip.
