Going along the Wilcox Pass trail. I didn't opt for the shortcut route.
To escape the rain and snow forecasted in the south we drove all the way up the Icefields Parkway to this peak. It worked! We had great weather when clearly just past the big bend it started raining and snowing in the afternoon.
This is a great short scramble with excellent views. Quite a bit of scrambling too, on quite solid and textured rock. All the snow was avoidable by staying high. We went a bit low on ascent and had a bit of sketchy traversing to do. On descent we stayed really high and although a move or two was harder it felt easier to me over all, if more exposed.
