Looking back as we start bushwacking up above the headwall. Photos of the headwall at the end of the report.

First you hike the old road (very bushy), and make sure you find the switchback to stay on the road and trail. Then your lose the trail in a drainage. Pick it up again on the far side, but it only goes a short ways before it disappears into a bunch of downed trees. Bushwack over to the creek and ascend the headwall.

Repeat of Vern's recent trip. Except we skipped the bikes of course. Finding out upon arrival that the road he biked in this report is actually drivable. A few standard issue waterbars (deepest was probably the first one) on that road, but nothing my SUV hasn't done before.

We parked on the far landing and camped there both nights. Very lovely!
