Little Lawson Peak from the snowshoe trail.
Snow conditions were good for snowshoeing so we headed out to make an ascent of this popular sub-peak. This is my favorite type of snowshoe trip. Initially up through heavily treed terrain that even normal people wouldn't want to ski. Then along a ridge that can sometimes feel like scrambling to a summit. I don't like snowshoeing near ski trails. I hate getting in the way like that, no matter how hard you might try not to, as I completely understand how annoying it is.
