Hiking along the unofficial trail to Temple Lake.

Nearly at the last minute I saw Sonny's album for the ridge on the other side of Temple Lake, and changed my objective on this day to Little Temple. There was less snow in the area than Kananaskis, and the hike was shorter, as well as being somewhere I'd never seen before.

I really enjoyed this hike, though the larches are very confusing this year. We saw some that were losing their needles already, and some that were still green, not any significant distance apart.

We also met Matthew Clay and his wife Sandra. I'd messaged Matt several times in the past, and frequent his website so it was neat to meet in person. They'd started a bit later, but caught us on the ridge. Though we'd both recognized the other from a distance long before that.
