In the morning it was very smoky and overcast. Often when its like that it looks like it might rain. You can't always trust a forecast... Which is my excuse for sitting down in the first rockband and pondering whether I wanted to continue on solo. It wasn't a very nice rockband in particular.... I had my phone out reading Josée's report, when thankfully I ran into another solo hiker and he let me join him. So much for doing my second moderate solo scramble, but I'm sure happy I didn't turn around! The upper mountain was easy and fun, and I actually liked the summit ridge! When do I ever say that?!
